The Kelley Transit Company operates (under contract for Northwest Transit District) the Candystriper system that provides safe, reliable, and courteous bus service within the Torrington area and connects with Winsted and Litchfield. The Candystriper can take you shopping, to the hospital or doctor, and to work.
The Candystriper is a pleasant and affordable way to travel in and around Litchfield County. Learning to ride the Candystriper is easy. If you have any questions after reviewing this information, call our customer service center at 860.489.RIDE (7433). Representatives are available to answer your questions or take comments about our service from 7:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Candystriper drivers can also assist you with rider information. Rider bulletins are posted on all buses for special announcements and holiday schedules.
